It's ugly and it should look like a "calligraphic L", not a bastardized question mark.

Should be upside down, as well as back to front. And, probably blurred to hell through all the whisky haze.

Yes Al, it should be upside down and back to front if you are typesetting. Now if only there was a prize for being so right...

SMP, if you hate the curly pound sign so much then what is an example of one you love?

well its only one character, as opposed to a whole sentence or paragraph, so i understand where they are coming from. all of them are very beautiful.
